Practitioner Training
GA offers a range of teaching, assessing, and quality assurance training programmes for educators. All courses are online and lead to regulated qualifications and delivered directly by GA.
Teaching, Assessing and IQA Qualifications for Practitioners

GA provides fully online programmes for teaching, assessing, and internal quality assurance, ensuring your staff can engage in valuable CPD and achieve recognised qualifications. There is also an option for all delivery, assessment, and moderation to be carried out directly by GA so you don’t need to hold qualification approval. The qualifications available are:
GA Level 3 Award in Education and Training
For those wishing to teach in Further Education who are not currently teaching, or are new to teaching. There is no requirement to be teaching or have a teaching placement, but you will carry out a 20 minute microteach session.
GA Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
For those who are already working in, or have a teaching placement in Further Education. There is a requirement to evidence 30 hours of teaching.
GA Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
For those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment. There is no requirement to be working as an Assessor.
GA Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment:
For those who are already working as, or have a placement as an Assessor. There is a requirement to evidence that you are assessing occupational competence in the work environment.
GA Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
For those who are already working as, or have a placement as an Assessor. There is a requirement to evidence that you are assessing occupational competence in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).
GA Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
For those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance. There is no requirement to be working as an IQA to undertake this qualification.
GA Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
For those who are already working as or have a placement as an IQA. There is a requirement to evidence that you are carrying out the internal quality assurance of assessment.
