Who are these First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid qualifications for?

These qualifications in First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid and Emergency Paediatric First Aid are ideal qualifications for anyone who needs a relevant first aid qualification to meet legal requirements. These qualifications cover the vital skills necessary to provide prompt and effective first aid in a workplace and/or to infants and children. All organisations are required by law to ensure they have a sufficient number of employees who hold a valid First Aid Certificate in a work setting. The GA First Aid qualifications provide the necessary knowledge to enable an individual to reduce hazards, attend to accidents and deal with injuries, while keeping an organisation compliant with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

The GA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - is ideal for learners who need to meet the minimum requirements for first aid in the workplace. It is also an ideal qualification for anyone wanting basic first aid in a variety of other settings, including for voluntary and community activities. This qualification is typically delivered over 1 day.
The GA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work - is ideal for learners who need to meet the requirements of of a first aider in the workplace (EFAW), plus be able to deal with a variety of injuries and medical conditions. It is typically delivered over 3 days (or 2 days for those undertaking revalidation / renewal of their first aid qualification).
The GA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid - is ideal for anyone who needs the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency paediatric first aid situations which could arise when looking after children. It is also ideal for parents, guardians, grandparents or anyone else involved with infants and children who wants to learn key paediatric first aid skills. This qualification is usually delivered over 1 day.
The GA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid - is the most common qualification for early years practitioners. This qualification meets Department for Education requirements and the early years foundation stage requirements and is also ideal for anyone involved with caring for infants and children in a non-professional setting or other professional setting which involves first aid for children. This qualification is usually delivered over 2 days.

The First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF)

These qualifications have been developed in conjunction with the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF).
