Who is this Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology qualification for?

The GA Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology is an ideal qualification for learners who wish to expand their knowledge of the structure, function and pathologies of the human body. It is ideal for learners who work, or intend to work, in the beauty therapy, complementary therapy or care industries, or learners who wish to enter the non-surgical aesthetics sector, work in sports and fitness related or physiotherapy related fields, or enter nursing, midwifery and many other health-related careers. This qualification provides learners with knowledge and understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathology, including:

the cells and tissues of the body
the structure, function and pathologies of the skin, hair and nails (integumentary system)
the support and movement systems of the body (skeletal and muscular systems)
the integration and co-ordination systems of the body (nervous system, endocrine system and the eye and ear)
the processing and transporting functions of the body (respiratory, circulatory, digestive, lymphatic and urinary systems)
the reproductive system
the pathological disease process

This qualification can be assessed via Continuous Assessment or via an Externally Assessed Controlled Examination.
