Who are these qualifications for?

The GA Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate is designed for learners who are new to the adult social care sector or those currently working in entry level care roles who wish to develop their knowledge, skills, and competence. It is suitable for care workers, support workers, personal assistants, and other frontline staff working in residential, domiciliary, community, or supported living settings. Learners will work in adult social care and this qualification provides a foundation in the principles and practices of adult social care and supports learners in meeting the standards required for safe, effective, and person-centred care. The GA Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification is approved by Skills for Care as meeting the requirements as set out by the Department of Health & Social Care. The GA Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification is aimed at meeting the needs of learners, employers and institutes of Higher Education by providing a high quality qualification which develops the learner's academic and professional development within the health and social care sector, focussing on the key principles of communication skills, person-centred care, and professional development. Learners will also develop their knowledge and understanding of health and social care regulation, principles and values, as well as health & safety, wellbeing and sustainability in health and social care settings. This qualification may permit successful learners to enter employment as a care assistant, healthcare assistant or senior support worker. It may also permit access to higher education courses in a related subject area. The GA Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification is delivered under a GA exclusivity agreement.
