Qualifications in Education and Training at Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5. IMPORTANT: Please note that the GA Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training withdraws on 31st July 2024. This qualification will be replaced by the new GA Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (FE & Skills) in September 2024.

Who are the Education and Training qualifications for?

These qualifications in Education and Training are suitable for anyone who needs an initial award for their role as a teacher, trainer or tutor within the Further Education sector, whether that be private, community or voluntary-based setting, including Adult and community learning, a private training provider or in a work-based training environment. The Education and Training qualifications are available at Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 to meet a diverse range of needs within the education and training sector.

The GA Level 3 Award in Education and Training - is ideal for learners who need an introduction to teaching. Teaching practice is not a requirement of the qualification. There is a requirement for a micro-teach.
The GA Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training - is ideal for learners who are already working as teachers, tutors, trainers, lecturers or as an instructor within an FE college, community learning and skills provider or private learning provider, and for those delivering work-based training. Teaching practice is a requirement of the qualification.
Important: This qualification will withdraw on 31 July 2024 and this is the last date we can accept learner registrations. The last date for certificate claims is 31 July 2027. The GA Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training - The GA Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is ideal for learners who are already working as teachers, tutors, trainers, lecturers or as an instructor within an FE college, community learning and skills provider or private learning provider, and for those delivering work-based training. Teaching practice is a requirement of the qualification.
