Who are these Level 4 Aesthetics Pathway Qualifications for?

These qualifications are part of the Aesthetics Pathway. They are ideal qualifications for learners wishing to carry out Level 4 non-surgical skin procedures safely and effectively. Learners may complete the GA Level 4 Certificate in Core Standards for Non-Surgical Skin Procedures and the GA Level 4 Certificate in Clinical Skin Analysis, Assessment and Treatment Planning as stand-alone qualifications. These provide a foundation of underpinning knowledge to enable progression into the specialism of non-surgical skin procedures. Learners may then choose to undertake an Award at Level 4 which focuses on a single treatment (microneedling, chemical skin peeling, blemish removal, microblading, micropigmentation, PRP/PRF, and using lasers for skin rejuvenation, hair reduction and active acne treatments). Alternatively, learners may choose to undertake a Diploma-sized qualification at Level 4 which combines the GA Level 4 Certificate in Core Standards for Non-Surgical Skin Procedures and the GA Level 4 Certificate in Clinical Skin Analysis, Assessment and Treatment Planning with one or multiple treatments at Level 4. The GA Level 4 Award in Core Knowledge for Laser, Intense Light Source Systems and LEDs for Aesthetic Practitioners is designed for individuals wishing to deliver laser, IPL or LED treatments for skin and hair rejuvenation, or for those in a supporting role within a clinical settings (receptionists, clinic managers, or assistants), who may not directly perform the treatments but are exposed to the equipment and need to understand the relevant safety protocols and operational procedures. These qualifications are designed and developed in line with all relevant National Occupational Standards and with due regard to the standards and guidance of relevant regulatory and standard-setting bodies.
