Who are these Level 5 Aesthetics Pathway Qualifications for?

These qualifications are part of the Aesthetics Pathway. They are ideal qualifications for learners wishing to carry out Level 5 non-surgical skin procedures safely and effectively. The GA Level 5 Certificate in Clinical Skin Science for Non-Surgical Skin Procedures provides learners with an in-depth understanding of how the skin functions, issues of skin dysfunction and how to treat skin issues. Within this qualification, the approach to clinical skin science is underpinned by person-centeredness and the appropriate theoretical knowledge. Learners may then choose to undertake an Award or Certificate-sized qualification at Level 5 which focuses on a single treatment (microneedling, chemical skin peeling, blemish removal using cryotherapy and thermolysis, microblading, micropigmentation, laser and IPL treatments for benign vascular lesions and laser treatments for tattoo removal). Learners who achieve the GA Level 5 Award in Blemish Removal using Cryotherapy and Thermolysis may also progress onto the GA Level 5 Award in Mole Reduction Using Thermolysis. These qualifications are designed and developed in line with all relevant National Occupational Standards and with due regard to the standards and guidance of relevant regulatory and standard-setting bodies.
