Qualifications in safeguarding children and young people, and safeguarding vulnerable adults, at Level 2.

Who are these qualifications for?

These qualifications are suitable for those responsible for safeguarding in both public and private sector roles. The Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People is an ideal qualification for those working in any capacity where the safeguarding of children and young people is a duty of care. Contexts may include nurseries, schools, colleges and other further education settings, health and social care and/or voluntary settings which involves responsibility for the care and protection of children and young people. The Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults is an ideal qualification for those working in any capacity where the safeguarding of any vulnerable adult is a duty of care. Contexts may include hospitals and other healthcare settings, care homes and/or a range of other settings which involves responsibility for the care and protection of vulnerable adults. These qualifications may support progression toward the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
